The project is located in Tana River County in Kenya that covers a total surface area of 38,437km2 and accounts for 6.61 per cent of Kenya’s total surface area. The County, named after the Tana River itself, borders Garissa to the North, Isiolo to the Northwest, Lamu to the Northeast, Kilifi to the Southeast, Taita Taveta to the South, and Kitui to the West.
The project land is sited on a 38 year long term lease and envisages the development of 4,000 hectaresof a nucleus Napier grass farm under irrigation.
Details – 26M above sea level. Within the Tarasaa Division within the Tana River county.
The eastern border is on the B8 road from Malindi travelling north towards Garsen.
Green – 400ha agreement signed for use in Renewable Power Generation. Pink – 100Ha allocated for Geotech, Topographical, land Survey. Biogas Plant will utilise 5Ha and the Solar plant will utilise 25Ha for construction within the Pink area.
